Opening Hours & Closures
Starshine Nursery is open Monday to Friday, 50 weeks of the year. Our opening hours are:
- Full day – 8:00am – 6:00pm
These are the maximum times. Children can come in later than their start time, and leave earlier than their end time, to fit in with their families needs.
The nursery is closed for one week at the end of July, the days between and including Christmas Eve and New Years, and on all public holidays.
We may, on up to three days per year, legally close for government-instructed training for all staff.
On rare/special occasions, such as parental involvement gatherings, the children’s annual Christmas party, and the last day before Christmas break, we may close the nursery early. This is due to the needs of the children becoming tired on such events, and the need for staff to tidy and prepare for the next nursery day. Forward notice of such occasions will be given to all parents.
